KIDS GOT RIGHTS

Rights are for everyone, even the smallest among us.

KIDS GOT RIGHTS BECAUSE KIDS DESERVE TO KNOW THEIR POWER.

by Kids Got Rights

We are committed to fostering an ethical universalism that safeguards children from exploitation and empowers them to express their concerns creatively and confidently.

Dear Protector of Our Future,

Your contribution will help us take another step towards the completion of Kids Got Rights. Every step counts. Please consider supporting this film.

What if paper, clay, color, and code could challenge injustice?

At Kids Got Rights, we're turning stop motion, 3D animation, and bold visual storytelling into tools that amplify kids’ voices in the fight for their basic human rights — safety, education, home, and dignity.

👁️ Every frame is a protest.
🎞️ Every movement is a message.
🧒 Every child has the right to be heard.

Our animation isn’t just art — it’s resistance.

From hand-molded stop motion scenes of displacement to digital worlds where kids rewrite broken systems, we’re using imagination as a force for justice.

✨ Because when children see themselves as heroes in their own stories, they begin to believe:
“I have rights. I have power.”

This elegant hybrid-animated documentary production introduces children to their human rights in a way that’s empowering, educational, and unforgettable. It’s perfect for schools, libraries, and families who believe in raising awareness in our global community. The goal is to establish an ethical universalism that safeguards children from exploitation.

We sincerely hope you will help our efforts in any way you can. Please help us with funding, airline miles, personal assistant or research for the film, your donation will be fully tax-deductible. Please click on this link to get the Letter from the Heart Productions for Kids Got Rights, Fiscal Sponsor Tax Deductuble Letter with #'s

Our Mission

Our seasoned film and animation team plans to spread awareness about human rights and ensure that children everywhere understand their rights. The potential for the impact is immense.

About Kids Got Rights

We will deliver riveting live interviews with children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds worldwide. Their responses will span from the innocent and naïve to the remarkably sophisticated, offering a profound glimpse into the mysterious realm of children's minds. Following these interviews, five powerful animations will burst onto the screen, designed to inspire and uplift, crafting a visionary roadmap to empower kids to break free from the chains of abuse.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 1 billion children experience some form of violence each year, which encompasses physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect. With 70-85% knowing their abuser. In Pakistan, over 11 million children under 11 are laborers. Today in the U.S.A., major corporations in the food production industry hire kids under 13 years old. The UK reports that 1 in 200 adults is a pedophile, with over 16,000 child abuse cases recorded in England in 2012.

We can give children the tools to know what abuse is, what their rights are, and what they can do to protect themselves.

Outcomes

A profound mission drives our project: Empowering children with knowledge of their rights and entitlements is crucial to a more just and equitable world.

  • To help kids understand safety boundaries and encourage them to voice their concerns
  • To build free, just, and peaceful societies and, most importantly, to prevent human rights abuses through education
  • To help create an ethical universalism that protects children from exploitation

Topics we will cover:
  • Equality
  • Child Labor
  • The right to housing and free speech
  • Physical and Sexual Abuse

Topic Example:

Inhumane Treatment

Right now, somewhere in the world, a child is going to bed hungry. Another is sleeping on concrete. Another is being denied medicine that could save their life.

This isn't happening in some distant past or imaginary place. It's happening today. While we debate policy and procedure, real children—with names, with dreams, with beating hearts—are being failed by the very systems meant to protect them.

The most basic human right shouldn't be revolutionary: Every child deserves to be treated as if their life has value.

So why are so many children still waiting for someone to remember that they matter? We all need to get on board to help children learn their power.

The Team

Animator Bonita Versh (The Rugrats Movie), actress Mews Small (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest), Associate Producer Barbara Trent (Panama Deception), and Producer Julie Rico, Julie Rico Gallery will create a worldwide phenomenon that educates kids about their human rights. We are collaborating with five different stop-motion and 3D artists for the animation.
